What is it?
The Oak tree was planted on May 7th 1945 to commemorate the end of the
war in Europe.

The oak is located on the north side of Royal Avenue just
inside the Rivers gate to
Royal
Victoria Park
The plaque contains the following inscription:
The text reads:
"Oak Tree
Planted by and in the time of Councillor E. E. Clements, Mayor, to
commemorate victory in Europe
May 7th 1945"
